How to price your beauty services properly
A fair price isn’t a gut feeling – it’s a calculation. Once you know your costs, time and target profit, you can price with confidence instead of just matching the studio next door.
Know your hourly rate:
First add up your monthly fixed costs: rent, materials, insurance, software, training. Divide them by the hours you can realistically sell – not every hour in a month is billable. That gives you the minimum hourly rate at which you even break even.
Materials and time per treatment:
For each treatment, add material costs plus the real time including prep and clean-up. A treatment that “only takes 60 minutes” often blocks 80 minutes of your day.
Profit isn’t a luxury:
On top of covering costs belongs a profit margin – for reserves, holidays and investment. Pros who plan for this fall into the price trap less often. With the profit tools in BeautyCore you can run this calculation in minutes.
