Specialist adhesive for extensions – key to retention and an allergy topic.
Lash adhesive is usually based on cyanoacrylate and cures through humidity. It bonds the extension to the natural lash and largely determines how long the result lasts.
Why room climate matters:
Most adhesives need 40 to 60 percent humidity and around 20 to 24 degrees. If the air is too dry, the adhesive cures too slowly; too humid and it cures too fast, making the bond brittle. Professionals measure this with a hygrometer.
Take allergies seriously:
Reactions to cyanoacrylate are documented and can develop even after many problem-free appointments. A patch test beforehand, good ventilation and clean work with distance from the lid margin are mandatory. With swollen, red lids the appointment must be stopped.
