UV/LED lamp
Device for curing gel – wavelength and output must match the product.
Gels cure through light of a specific wavelength. Modern devices are usually combination lamps with LED and UV so they reliably cure different product systems.
Why they must match:
If a gel does not cure fully, uncured components remain. That can promote allergies and leads to lifting. Lamp and gel should therefore come from matched systems where possible, and the manufacturer's curing times should be observed.
Skin protection:
UV exposure is low but real. Anyone working daily or attending frequent appointments can use fingerless UV gloves and apply sunscreen to the backs of the hands beforehand.
