Polygel
A hybrid of gel and acrylic – mouldable like putty, cured under light.
Polygel is a thick compound combining properties of gel and acrylic. It does not run like liquid gel and does not smell like acrylic; it is shaped with a spatula and brush and cured under light.
Advantages:
Because the material does not self-level, there is plenty of time to shape it – making it well controllable even for the less experienced. It is comparatively light and often felt to be comfortable to wear.
Limits:
For very long or extreme shapes, classic acrylic or hard gel is usually the sturdier choice. As with any enhancement, clean preparation of the natural nail determines how long it lasts.
