What matters is not how the pigment looks in the pot but how it heals under the skin. Skin undertone and existing old pigmentation strongly influence the outcome – overly cool tones can turn greyish later, overly warm ones reddish.
Legal framework:
In the EU, the REACH regulation governs which substances are permitted in tattoo and PMU inks; several pigments have been banned since 2022. Reputable studios use only compliant, documented products and keep the batch numbers on file.
