Nail enhancement
Building the nail plate with gel or acrylic – for length, shape and strength.
In a nail enhancement, the natural nail is reinforced or extended with gel or acrylic. Work is done either with a form (sculpted freehand) or on glued-on tips as a base.
Gel or acrylic:
Gel cures under UV or LED light, looks more natural and has less odour. Acrylic cures in air, is particularly strong and can be shaped very precisely. Both last well when done properly – the choice depends on nail condition and daily life.
Refills instead of redoing:
Every three to four weeks the regrown area is filled and the structure rebalanced. Clean prep and a correctly placed apex decide whether the enhancement holds or breaks.
