Nail shapes
From round through almond to ballerina – the shape defines the whole look.
Nail shape determines both look and everyday practicality. The most common shapes are round, oval, almond, square, squoval, ballerina (coffin) and stiletto.
What suits whom:
Almond and oval make short fingers look longer. Squoval is the most practical everyday shape because the corners are less likely to tear. Stiletto and long ballerina are striking but more prone to breakage and take getting used to.
Consider stability:
The pointier and longer the shape, the more structure the enhancement needs. For heavily used hands, a shorter round or squoval shape is almost always the wiser recommendation – honest advice prevents frustration.
