Covering or embracing grey hair

Options from full coverage to a deliberate transition to grey.

Grey hair appears when pigment production in the follicle declines. Salons offer a wide spectrum of approaches – from full coverage to deliberately stopping colouring altogether.

Covering:

Permanent colour covers most reliably but needs a root appointment every four to six weeks. Semi-permanent colour blends more softly and grows out less visibly, but does not fully cover high percentages of grey.

Transitioning to grey:

Anyone stopping does not have to live with a two-tone root for months: highlighting techniques can weave the grey in deliberately so the transition looks seamless. That takes patience and an honest consultation about the timeline.
