Foil highlights

A classic lightening technique where individual strands are lightened wrapped in foil.

For foil highlights, individual sections of hair are coated with lightener and wrapped in foil. The foil holds the heat and produces even, strong lightening with clear definition.

Difference to balayage:

Foils look more defined and uniform than freehand balayage and usually sit closer to the roots. The result is higher in contrast but needs a root touch-up a little more often.
