Nails

Chrome nails

A mirror-like metallic effect rubbed on with pigment powder.

For chrome nails, a fine pigment powder is rubbed onto a still-tacky or specially prepared gel layer with an applicator until a mirror effect appears. It is then sealed.

Variations:

Besides classic silver chrome there are aurora or glazed effects with shimmering pearlescence and colour chrome in almost any shade. The popular glazed-donut look is a particularly subtle chrome variant.

What matters:

The base must be perfectly smooth – the mirror effect mercilessly highlights every unevenness. A clean top coat without air bubbles stops the effect going dull or lifting at the edges.
