Dark circles

Dark shadows under the eyes – the cause determines what helps.

Dark circles have different causes, and that is exactly what determines what makes sense. Bluish shadows come from vessels showing through thin skin. Brownish ones are pigmentation. Cast shadows result from anatomy – a hollow beneath the eye.

What is possible cosmetically:

For thin skin, replenishing care, caffeine for short-term decongestion and sun protection help. For pigmentation, brightening ingredients and peels can improve the picture. Lymphatic drainage reduces puffiness.

Staying honest:

Anatomically caused shadows barely change with cosmetics – make-up or a medical-aesthetic procedure is the answer there. Sleep, hydration and iron status also play a part. Promising miracles costs trust.
